 is a four year undergraduate course that is pursued after the completion of 10+2. This course focuses on the concepts of eye diagnosis and treatment. A person who treats eye diseases or performs eye operations is called an optometrist.

Some students are always confused about the admission criteria of this course. Let me make it clear to you that if a student wants to take admission then he/she must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% in Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics). Admission can be taken on merit basis or by qualifying an entrance exam conducted by the university or college itself.
